All treatments at Medicus Foot Clinic are delivered with a personalised and considered approach, ensuring both comfort and effective results.
New patients are required to attend an initial appointment, allowing for a full assessment and to determine suitability for ongoing or more specialised treatments.
 
A comprehensive initial consultation is designed to assess your overall foot health and individual needs.
This appointment includes a full patient interview detailed assessment and where appropriate neurovascular checks particularly for patients with diabetes or other health conditions that may place them at higher risk.
During the appointment treatment will be carried out to address presenting concerns such as callus corns and ingrown toenails wherever clinically appropriate.
Following assessment a tailored treatment plan will be discussed to determine whether ongoing care is best suited through routine or more advanced appointments.

Routine Foot Care

A maintenance-focused treatment designed to keep feet healthy comfortable and well managed.
Appointments are tailored to individual needs and are typically scheduled at regular intervals commonly every four six or eight weeks depending on the condition of the feet.

Enhanced Foot Care

An extended appointment designed for patients requiring more in-depth treatment and additional time.
Suitable for more complex foot concerns including increased build-up of callus corns or multiple areas requiring attention. This appointment allows for a more thorough and detailed approach while maintaining comfort throughout the treatment.
Appointments are tailored to individual needs and may be recommended at regular intervals depending on the condition of the feet and the level of care required.

Nail Bracing

A corrective treatment for ingrown or involuted nails aimed at relieving discomfort and improving nail growth over time.
Treatment is provided following consultation and requires a course of appointments over several months. Appointments are usually scheduled every two to four weeks with brace adjustment or replacement carried out as required throughout the treatment period.
Patients are also provided with guidance on home care and topical support to encourage healthy nail regrowth.

Nail Reconstruction

A restorative treatment designed for patients with damaged traumatised or non-growing nails including conditions such as onycholysis or following medical treatments.
The treatment uses the LCN Wilde-Pedique system, a medical-grade solution that is considered a safe hygienic and healthy alternative to acrylics. The material is flexible breathable and antimicrobial allowing natural nail growth while restoring the appearance of the nail.
This treatment is particularly popular for patients concerned with the appearance of their nails and is often sought during periods when feet are more exposed.
The longevity of the treatment varies depending on individual nail growth and the condition of the nail including any damage or biomechanical factors affecting the toe. Ongoing maintenance and home care guidance will be provided to support the best possible outcome.

Verruca Treatment

Targeted treatment using Verrutop to support the resolution of verrucae.
This treatment is commonly used for children and teenagers particularly those involved in sports or activities such as swimming where verrucae are more easily spread.
Treatment plans are tailored to the individual and may require a course of appointments depending on the response.
